London Black Cab Advertising Is Coming to Gibraltar

The cabs were formally introduced in March 2026, following an earlier trial supported by the Ministry of Transport, the Gibraltar Taxi Association and Gedime Motors. Their unmistakably British design brings something distinctive to Gibraltar’s roads, while their modern, accessible and predominantly electric specification makes them well suited to the future of local transport.

Gibraltar currently has 11 London style black cabs, with another 10 en route. This will bring the total fleet to 21 taxis, creating a substantial new mobile advertising network across Gibraltar.

Ads.gi, working in collaboration with Advertise.gi, will manage the advertising opportunities across the fleet.

Advertising That Moves Across Gibraltar

Unlike a fixed advertising screen, taxi advertising travels throughout Gibraltar. The black cabs operate across the city and serve important arrival points including Gibraltar International Airport and the Gibraltar Cruise Terminal.

This gives advertisers the opportunity to build visibility across multiple locations during a single campaign, reaching residents, commuters, business travellers and visitors as they move around Gibraltar.

Advertising opportunities are expected to include full exterior taxi branding and interior tip seat advertising, providing options for both high impact brand campaigns and more targeted passenger messaging.
